Purpose
status.php is the canonical public availability page. It can communicate planned maintenance, incidents, and service health to customers without requiring portal access. The former serverstatus.php name is retired.
Safe content
- Customer-facing service names and broad operational state.
- Incident start time, impact, updates, and resolution.
- Planned maintenance windows and expected customer action.
Do not publish
Never expose hostnames, private IPs, software patch details, credentials, database topology, internal monitoring tokens, stack traces, or unreviewed raw health checks. A useful status page describes customer impact, not attack surface.
