v1.13.0 [03/11/2026]
The same features, with WBAMS's own code encoded with ionCube: it needs the free ionCube Loader 15 or newer. Read the v1.13.1 release notes.
From 1.12.0, Update WBAMS brings a site to 1.13.0; nothing in the database changes. A site on 1.11.0 or earlier comes to 1.12.0 through the installer first. 1.13.0 needs PHP 8.3 or newer: on an older PHP, Update WBAMS says so and changes nothing.
They need the free ionCube Loader, version 15 or newer (15.5 or newer on PHP 8.5), in the server's PHP. Most hosting control panels switch it on among the PHP extensions; ask your hosting provider if yours does not. See System requirements.
- Updated
WBAMS needs PHP 8.3 or newer (PHP 8.2's security fixes end on December 31, 2026) and is tested on PHP 8.3, 8.4 and 8.5. The installer and System Health name the PHP versions WBAMS supports.
- Security
the libraries WBAMS ships are current releases: Laravel's components 13 (from 9, whose security fixes ended in February 2024), Symfony 7.4, Carbon 3, Smarty 4.5 (from 3.1), Guzzle 7.16 with its promises 2, the mail parser 3, php-jwt 7, the Google API client 2.20 and the AWS SDK 3.402. The published security advisories against them went from 51 to 2, and neither concerns a part WBAMS uses.
- Updated
templates are compiled by Smarty 4.5. WBAMS's own themes need no change; a site's own template written for Smarty 2 (the
{php}tag and the old SmartyBC forms) has to be brought up to date. - Added
Update WBAMS and the installer check for the ionCube Loader when a release needs it, and say what the server needs before anything is changed.
- Fixed
a difference in hours or minutes across a daylight-saving change is the time that really passed, an hour less in spring and an hour more in autumn. Whole days, months and years are counted as before.
- Fixed
the payment history table, when WBAMS has to create it itself, keeps amounts as money with two decimal places, as a new installation does.
